![]() Food: Our favorites in order were: Cueve Siete, Mi Carisa, 20.87 and then Mura House. It is foodie heaven and we literally gained 5lbs each. ![]() We are foodies who will travel for delicious food and were blown away at this resort. We typically go to AI's in Riviera Maya at least once a year. Husband and I went to Unico 20.87 for 9 days and researched a ton before we went. When he moved on to another part of the pool the difference was so noticeable- by far the best pool waiter. One member of staff was outstanding- a pool waiter called Paul. I also think the hotel should stop guests bringing their own music to the pool as we have 3 different types of music outdoing each other, very distracting and the pool music is neutral enough for all to enjoy. If you tip the pool guy he will look after you but this shouldn’t be necessary. the situation is exacerbated by the fact the beach is virtually impossible to use because of the seaweed problem so all guests round the pool. Also all beds around pool reserved by 8:30. The biggest negative is the pool - not enough sunshades for the guests and guests have to go on a list to receive one and sometimes 30 plus people before you! It is not acceptable, particularly as there are some VIP area where there are unused sun shades. ![]() The rib eye and chicken was superb and the crab cake starter is a must. Luxury’s include turn down service, and your own personal host who will help out with anything you need - ours was Marco, incredibly polite and helpful. Room service is good but again not very hot but I’m not sure if wanting piping hot food is a British thing. The pool side food is ok but not always hot. The food is exceptional in the restaurants. The positives are that this is a luxury hotel.
